Care For The Wood. Keep The Character.

Our serving boards are made to be used. A few simple habits will protect the wood, preserve the finish, and help your piece age beautifully.

Everyday Care

• Hand wash with mild dish soap and warm water.
• Wash both sides to help the board absorb moisture evenly.
• Never soak the board or place it in a dishwasher.
• Dry it promptly, then stand it on edge until completely dry.
• Do not place hot cookware directly on the wood unless the piece is specifically designed for it.

Conditioning

When the wood begins to look dry or feel less rich, apply a thin, even coat of PVDC Wood Conditioner. Allow it to absorb, then buff away the excess with a clean, lint-free cloth. Conditioning frequency depends on use and washing; the appearance of the wood is the best guide.

A Note About Change

Wood responds to moisture, temperature, light, and use. Subtle movement and changes in color are natural. Proper washing, drying, and conditioning will minimize unnecessary stress while allowing the piece to develop character over time.
